PRESENT TENSE: WAHINE TOI AOTEAROA

Included in the Designers Speak Up exhibition held at Ramp Gallery.
Exploring issues many people face within society of today, evident from a swift advancement of our surroundings and the further we seem to grow apart, stemming from fear and uncertainty.

The issues of ‘Anxiety/Mental Health’, ‘Conformity’, ‘Hostility’ and ‘Precarity’ are housed within a myraid of shapes to visualise differentiation, these of which can often be blind to one another. Here, ‘Unity’ is surrounded by three solid building blocks as if to mimic support, nurture, and stability, in contrast to the unruly surroundings of other issues.
